Valid 24 months
Gift vouchers
A voucher is an amount of money, not a specific room on a specific night, because a room on a night is a thing we cannot promise two years ahead. It is valid for twenty-four months, it can be spent on the room, on supper or on a space hire, and if it is spent on something cheaper than its face value the balance stays on it.
Why it is an amount and not a night
Because a voucher for "one night in a Parlour King" is a promise about a room on a date nobody has picked yet, in a building with three of them. Sold that way, it is redeemed against whatever happens to be free rather than what it says on the card, and the person holding it finds that out at the worst moment. An amount of money is a promise we can actually keep.
The terms, all of them
- Valid for 24 months from the day it is bought.
- Spendable on a room, on supper at the kitchen table, or against a space hire.
- If the stay costs less than the voucher, the balance stays on it and can be used again.
- If the stay costs more, pay the difference in the ordinary way.
- Transferable. Whoever holds it may use it and we will not ask who bought it.
- Not exchangeable for cash, which is the one thing on this list that is in our favour rather than yours.
- Not extendable beyond 24 months, so buy it for somebody who will use it.
Vouchers are not sold through this website. This is a demonstration site and nothing on it takes money. On a real build of this site the voucher would be a product in the same database as the bookings, with its balance decremented on redemption and visible from the front desk view.

Check availability
Give the form the night you arrive, the morning you leave and how many of you there are. It checks every night of the range rather than the first one, prices each night on its own and shows you the arithmetic before you type a name. If a night in the middle is full it says so and offers you the ranges nearby that do work.
